Refund & Cancellation Policy

Our payments and subscriptions are handled by Paddle, our authorized reseller and merchant of record. Paddle appears on your card or bank statement, sends your receipt, and handles refunds and any applicable sales tax or VAT.

You can use ScamSplain’s free checks without paying anything. There is nothing to cancel and nothing to refund on the free tier.

You can cancel anytime from your Account page, which opens the secure Paddle billing portal. When you cancel:

• Your plan stays active until the end of the period you already paid for — you keep Pro/Founders features until then.
• You are not billed again after you cancel.
• Cancelling does not automatically issue a refund for the current period (see below).

• 14-day goodwill window.If something isn’t right, contact us within 14 days of a charge and we’ll work with you on a refund of that charge.
• Monthly plans. After the 14-day window, monthly charges are generally non-refundable, but you can cancel to avoid future charges.
• Annual and Founders Edition. Annual plans are non-refundable after the 14-day window except where required by law. The Founders Edition is a limited annual plan and follows the same terms.
• Your legal rights. Nothing here limits any statutory refund or cancellation rights you have under your local consumer law (for example, the UK/EU 14-day right of withdrawal). Those rights always apply.
• Duplicate or accidental charges. We’ll always refund a genuine duplicate or accidental charge.

Email us through the Contact page with the email address you used to subscribe and, if you have it, the order or receipt number from Paddle. We aim to reply within a few business days. You can also reply directly to any Paddle receipt to reach their support.

We may update this policy from time to time. The version shown here always applies to purchases made while it is posted.
