What this scam is
You see a message promising that if you send a small amount, they will 'flip' it into several times more, or that joining a gifting circle/loom will pay out when you recruit others. It is a pyramid: early hype and fake screenshots lure you in, but once you pay, the money is gone and payouts never come. Legitimate money does not multiply by sending it to a stranger.
What it usually looks like
- 'Send $100, get $1,000 back' flip offers.
- A 'blessing loom,' 'money circle,' or 'cash wheel' invite.
- Fake screenshots of big payouts.
- Pressure to recruit friends.
Common warning signs
- Any promise to multiply your money by sending it first.
